Meal Prep for the week

Something I have been doing a while since my son was born is meal prepping. I only meal prep lunch as that is the meal I seems to eat the most junk food in. Most of the time I just forget to eat lunch if some thing is not prepared ahead of time. This is also great as I also make my husbands lunches for the week at the same time. I meal prep every Sunday and I make 10 lunches altogether. Two different type. I change it up weekly.

Meal 1:
Chicken tofu
Brussels Sprout and Carrots
Wild Brown rice

Meal 2:
Green Beans
Wild Brown rice

Mommy Product Review: Lansinoh Affinity Double Pump

After using this pump for about 3 months my review is finally here. To start off, I will say that I am exclusivity pumping, so this pump do see a lot of action. I use this pump 4 - 5 times daily. I bought this pump after we could not get my baby boy to latch properly and I was sick of spending so much time pumping with my manual pump.

  • Less than $200, very affordable
  • Very easy to use
  • Able to use as a double pump or a single pump
  • Lots of different speed and setting
  • Can use both battery or plug in
  • Small in size, can be fit into a purse
  • Almost impossible to find parts for in Canada
  • Customer care is not very helpful
  • Quality is not the best
All in all, it's not a bad pump. If I had done this review when I got this pump it would have been a rave review. Now that I have spend some time using it, I find that there are issue that I did not see coming. My son was born in late April and I got this pump in mid May. I take very good care of this pump as I use it everyday. I was very dissatisfy to say that some of the part are falling apart already.

This is the flange of my pump. See how I can be so unhappy with the product. If I have had this pump for 6 month or more I can see this as just being wear and tear but I had have this pump for less then 3 months. There is a hole forming on both the flange as well as a tear on on flange.

I would gladly replace the flange if it was something I could replace. Finding parts for this pump is very hard to do. I have even contacted Lansinoh's customer service to see where I might find parts in Canada. They were less then helpful and emailing them had been a waste of my time. All they repeat in the email was how there is nothing they can do and just tell you to call them for any other problem. I also no longer have the receipt for this item as I did not expect a problem. I am very unhappy about the quality for this product as I also own the Lansinoh manual pump (twice) and never have a quality issue with it.

I am hoping to call up Lansinoh to complaint once again as emailing them seems not to work or they just seems not to care. 

Overall I think this is a pretty good product as long as you don't need extra parts or have quality issue.

Bite Size Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookies

Lactation cookies are a great way to increase breast milk while satisfying a sweet tooth craving. I love these cookies! They are super good and super good for you. You can make the cookies bigger then what I did but bite size works better with a 2 year old who wants the cookies. It's just much easier to hide. The cookies are fine to eat even when you are not breast feeding, my husband and daughter both enjoy the cookies.This recipe makes a LOT of cookies.

Warning: These cookies are GOOD! You might just eating all of them in one sitting.


  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed  
  • 4 tablespoons of brewers yeast
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups oats (not instant)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


  1. Preheat you oven to 350°F and line your cookie sheet with parchment paper (for easy clean up).
  2. Mix together the flaxseed and water. Set aside for at least 5 minutes.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl. Add eggs and mix together.
  4. Put in the flexseeds, Mix well.
  5. Mix in the flour, baking soda, brewers yeast and salt.
  6. Add in the oats and chocolate chips. Make sure you mix it in really good.
  7. Make little balls with your hands and placed on the cookie sheet.
  8. Baked for 14 minutes.

Finally got on the computer! I give birth on April 28th and is now almost 1 month postpartum (1 month as of Wednesday). I will hopefully post a 1 month postpartum body picture soon (as soon as I make time to shower with a baby in my hand). Got tons of product reviews coming up as well as must haves
